I recently walked into the gym on what has been my regular weekend routine for quite some time and about 15 minutes into my workout I realized I wasn’t fighting for space, room or equipment. I had an entire area just to myself.
( my own private gym :))
Of course, I’m not complaining but it did make me start thinking about resolutions and why I never make them. Right after New Year’s Day, people seem to pile in. The amount of women coming to some of my favorite classes probably surpassed the number attending the premier of Fifty Shades, ok maybe not but there sure were a lot. I just wonder what happened to all of those new comers. In my opinion, sometimes making such big resolutions is a way to set oneself up for failure. I’m a big fan of making small goals and accepting that on any given day I might have a set back and that’s okay. I just try to keep in mind that everyday is new and a chance to start over. So, for all you resolutioners (not a word, I know) that have that lost their way, make a small goal and get back to being active. I just ask that if you’re coming back to my gym, please don’t take my spot in class.LOVE IT!1+
