A few years ago a friend pointed out to me that I was the happiest runner in the world. Maybe not those exact words but she did point out how I had a smile on my face the entire time I ran. Fast forward a few years later and although running is not my one and only method of fitness any longer, the constant has been the smile. Exercising makes me happy. It makes me feel strong and healthy.
Last year, I decided I wanted to officially help people feel the joy I do when I exercise, so I became a member of the beachbody family and began coaching. It’s been great and I love their programs but I realized more than selling a product I really just like to help people with fitness. Coaching has allowed me to help motivate groups and guide others while they work to reach their goals. Even before “bb coaching”, I’ve had the chance to help people train for races. More exciting though has been the privilege of running with others as they crossed their first finish line….. definitely some smile worthy moments.
To keep things interesting and because I’m not one to miss a good workout…..now I go to my husband’s weekly obstacle course workouts and I love it! There’s something so inspiring about being around people who want to physically challenge themselves. I’m also doing things I’d never thought I would or could do, all of course, while wearing a big smile.
Coaching is still something I’ll keep doing because it’s part of who I am. Beachbody has given me an avenue to do so but while I promote Shakeology and their fitness programs I also realize that there are many methods to achieving your fitness goals. Find a coach, join a friend, take a class, or try something different. Ultimately, do something that makes you smile.LOVE IT!3+
