Where you exercise can be just as important as what you do. With the weather being as perfect as it has been, getting outdoors is a must. At least it is for me. I recently went to the boardwalk with a friend and we walked a brisk two miles. Easy Peasy! Our boardwalk has these great little gazebos that are nicely spaced apart (wish I knew the distance). We decided to do a different exercise at each gazebo we passed. That’s when the workout took a turn for the better burn.
One minute of push-ups, lunges, step-ups, dips, and whatever other move we could think of. I don’t think we realized how hard we working because we were a bit lost in the calm of the ocean breeze and the peacefulness of a sparsely crowded boardwalk. We chatted away until we decided to lunge from one badge check stand to another. Two days later and my glutes are still feeling the burn. Ultimately, it was a great unexpected workout because we took a quick ride over the bridge and exercised in our own backyard. Get outdoors, there’s a great big playground out there waiting for you.LOVE IT!3+
